Director of Clinical Services (Full-time)

  

Summary.  We are a Dallas faith-based women’s clinic seeking a Registered Nurse (BSN) with an active license in good standing in Texas. Must be a team player with strong supervisory skills and available to workday shifts Monday through Friday and occasional evenings. Experience in performing 1st and 2nd trimester ultrasounds preferred but not required. Spanish language fluency a plus, but not required. Our life-affirming work includes outreach to women and their partners experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. We operate three clinics and one mobile clinic in Dallas County with professional medical care, social services, mentoring, and practical needs. This position will have a home base with travel and work at other Dallas locations as needed. 

Qualifications. 

  • Current RN license in good standing in the state of Texas
  • Experience in performing 1st and 2nd-trimester ultrasounds (preferred, but not required)
  • Supervisory, leadership experience
  • Demonstrated good judgement and problem-solving ability, multi-tasker
  • Ability to know her own limitations and to ask for assistance
  • Strong relational skills; a team player

General Duties 

  • Follows clinic policies and procedures
  • Performs ultrasounds
  • Counsels clients in the clinic and over the telephone
  • Is available as a Speaker’s Bureau participant
  • Maintains current RN license in good standing in the state of Texas

Specific Duties 

  • Assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations of the clinic
  • Maintains orderly clinic visit process and orderly client records
  • Participates in recruitment and interview process of volunteer physicians and volunteer RNs
  • Trains new volunteer nurses in performance of duties, including ultrasound, and supervises ongoing RN training, including policies and procedures
  • Implements Medical Director’s standing orders accurately and completely
  • Supervises Nurse Supervisors at satellite clinics
  • Schedules nurses and physicians at clinics
  • Supervises current licensure, CPR training, and required continuing education hours for medical personnel
  • Maintains sufficient medical supplies at all clinic locations
  • Supervises follow-up contact with clinic clients
  • Supervises and updates clinic policies and procedures for all facilities
  • Follows guidelines of national professional organizations (AWHONN, ACOG, AIUM)
  • Supervises client chart reviews in clinic
  • Maintains column for the quarterly newsletter
  • Works with companies for annual maintenance of ultrasound machines

Nurse Sonographer Position

 

Assist Pregnancy Center/Metro Women's Care, a pregnancy clinic located in Annandale, VA is seeking a full or part-time Nurse Sonographer with a heart for women facing pregnancy decisions.

Partial Qualifications:


  • A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ, committed to the sanctity of all human life
  • Is licensed and in good standing as an RN in the state of VA. Holds BLS certification. 
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to safeguarding confidentiality and privacy. Has proven experience in reporting, record keeping, and using an electronic charting software program. 
  • Has at least one year of experience in limited OB sonography in a clinical setting.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. 
  • Can provide nursing care through the assessment of patient needs and makes nursing judgments that reflect safe nursing practices. 
  • Exhibits skill in caring for women in crisis; demonstrates care and concern for patients physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Nurse Sonographer Needed

Hope in Northern Virginia, a pregnancy center in Falls Church, VA is seeking a full time or part time Nurse Sonographer position at $50 per hour 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Be a dedicated Christian and exhibit strong dedication to the sanctity of all human life. 

• Agree with and uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, and Vision and Mission Statements. 

• Must possess a current nursing license and function in accordance with the licensing board of their state. 

• Have two years of experience as a nurse in a clinical setting. 

• Have two years of experience in a pregnancy center (preferred). 

• Must be certified in limited OB Sonography and have two years of limited sonography experience. 

• Exhibit strong interpersonal and administrative skills. 

• Demonstrate satisfactory knowledge of human reproduction, pregnancy, abortion, and related health issues. 

Patient Care: 

• Provide clinical services in accordance with level of expertise and training 

• Thoroughly explain all medical consent forms to patients, and answer questions prior to providing any medical services. 

• Document patient care in charts and properly maintain and archive patient medical records. 

• Provide patients with health education (pregnancy decision options, STDs/STIs, etc.), referrals for medical care/follow-up, and other pertinent community referrals. 

• Review patient records for completeness (all necessary forms present) and signatures. 

• Conduct phone follow-up with patients, and follow-up appointments in accordance with physician’s orders as indicated. 

• Discuss clinical questions, as needed, with the Nurse Manager. 

• Provide support to the other medical staff, including chaperoning. 

Medical Services Operations: 

• Assure accurate implementation of Medical Director’s orders. 

• Perform Pregnancy Tests and OB Limited Ultrasounds per Policy 

• Ensure proper disinfection of medical equipment and the exam room.

Registered Nurse or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Prenatal Care Provider (OBGYN, CNM, MSN-WHNP, APRN-WHNP)

 Full Position Title: Prenatal Care Provider (Holy Family Prenatal Care)  

Job Status: Non-exempt  

Department: Holy Family Prenatal Care  

Reports to: Senior Director of Women’s Services  Supervises: Nurse Manager  


Provides medical care related to pregnancy and childbirth. Oversees patient care throughout their  pregnancy and determines appropriate care, testing, and necessary procedures.  Diagnoses risk and refers  to other physicians as necessary.  

The Physician at Holy Family Prenatal Care is responsible to provide medical care to patients throughout  their pregnancy.  The Physician determines the appropriate care, testing, and necessary procedures  according to patient need.  They diagnose risk and determine when referral to other care providers is  necessary.  The Physician also directs the other medical professionals in the performance of their duties.  


Core Beliefs:  We are a Christian organization; our tenets are found in our four foundational statements.   Our primary purpose is to protect unborn life.  We believe in the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman and the sacredness of  the marital act.  We promote Natural Family Planning (NFP) and we do not promote any form of artificial  contraception or sterilization.  We promote abstinence before marriage and fidelity within marriage.  


Primary and Secondary Duties  

-Provide prenatal care according to current standard of care- including physical exams, on-going  follow-up visits, interpretation of lab/test results and treatment of common GYN  conditions/infections in pregnancy.  

- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and  examination results.  

- Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods until released from  obstetrical care. 

- Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent  illness, disease, or injury.  

- Analyze test data or images to inform diagnosis or treatment.   Explain medical procedures or test results to patients and family members.  

- Advise patients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention during pregnancy. 

- Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.  

- Supervise patient care personnel  

- Assist in determining direction for HFPC to advance patient care and other initiatives.  

- Train staff in appropriate topics such as Natural Family Planning, Contraception Information, and  other appropriate topics as requested by Executive Director.   

-  Periodic review and implement policies pertaining to medical practices/nursing procedures at  HFPC  

- Other duties pertaining to the mission of the organization as assigned by management.  .  


Job Requirements:  Current Medical license in the State of Ohio and an M.D. in Family Medicine or Obstetrics/Gynecology.  Five or more years of experience practicing in an obstetrical setting.
